1. Introduction :
Our castle is a testimony to French elegance and charm. Located less than one hour and a half west of Paris in the beautiful Normandy countryside our castle is available year round for rent in its entirety to extended families, friends and groups travelling together.
We also rent out the castle occasionally for seminars, receptions, wedding parties, photo and film shoots etc. Exclusivity is guaranteed as we only accept guests in small groups one at a time. Therefore all the château facilities will be for you and your family or friends to enjoy as your home when you are here.
There has been a castle at this location overlooking the Normandy countryside for over a thousand years. The actual castle built in 1577 is a magnificent Renaissance edifice built on the foundations of a previous medieval castle fort. Steeped in history our castle offers our special guests the chance to experience the ultimate luxury of a unique private country escape in a quiet haven of unsurpassed beauty and regal surroundings.
The castle is situated in a private estate comprising 55 acres of verdant land in the quiet undisturbed countryside and not far from the striking Normandy coastline. The château has 8 cosy bedrooms ranging from large suites to single children’s rooms, a maximum of 20 guests can sleep at the castle at any one time. Each bedroom is exquisitely furnished with a combination of French-sourced antiques, hand-made upholstery and sumptuous bedding. Sleep like royalty on high-end mattresses, duvets, pillows and Egyptian cotton linens. All the bedrooms are situated on the two upper floors of the castle and have beautiful views over the grounds and neighbouring countryside. For security reasons and for the comfort of everyone the entire castle interior is a no smoking zone. Smoking however is tolerated outside with precaution. No pets are allowed to stay but we do welcome well trained children!
The castle boats two impressive main salons located on the castle ground floor. The large 900 square foot Grand Salon is adorned with a magnificent 16th century stone-carved monumental fireplace, huge oak timbered ceilings
and incredibly rare 500 year old original Renaissance wood carved panelling. The beautiful Versailles styled Salle a Manger / dining room can seat up to 30 people and makes a breathtaking backdrop for that special banquet or reception. The natural lighting in the castle is splendid even during the short winter days. The castle itself is over 6000 square feet in size, has 42 individual rooms not including the cellars and attics.
We offer wonderful catering services to accommodate any sized group and are delighted to create any custom menus our guests should require including everything from signature breakfasts and picnic lunches to fine dinner banquets, cheese tastings, cooking classes and even theme dinners. A wide and varied selection of drinks are available.
All of our staff are fluent in English and French and have extensive experience in luxury world travel, catering and event planning to make your stay memorable. We are knowledgeable about the château, the local region and attractions so would be happy to.ist you or your group with all aspects of your stay and travel plans personalized to make your visit a wonderful time.
There are a multitude of places to visit and exciting things to do in the region including day trips to the historic WW2 Normandy landing beaches and museums. We can also recommend the services of a bilingual chauffeur and tourist guide to make your stay even more easy. At the castle we offer maid service, laundry facilities, satellite television, high speed internet access, phone service and ample car parking.

2. Catering :
Guests enjoy sophisticated and gourmet cuisine in a refined atmosphere and can relax privately or meet socially in one of the finely appointed salons. We purchase from local suppliers who thrive to only market the best authentic products.
Breakfast is served daily usually until 10.30 am and always includes fresh fruits and fresh fruit juices, a fresh.ortment of baked goods, breads, croissants, pastries accompanied by home made jams and local Normandy traditional butter. We can also offer full English / American cooked breakfast too for a small extra charge.
Breakfast and Evening Dining is included in the basic rental charge and we are very happy to prepare these meals during your stay to your exact specifications. Our table emphasis is on French Gastronomy with a different menu offered everyday. Our cuisine is made of the finest quality products selected from local producers and suppliers.
We can also provided specific drinks and refreshments anytime at a reasonable extra charge inc. drinks, cocktails, afternoon tea, barbeque etc. all of which can be served either in the castle or in the castle garden, garden summer house etc. Vegetarian or specific need meals / diets can also be catered for with agreed menus. In the height of summer dinner can even be served outside under candle light.
3. Activities at The Castle :
We are proud of the variety of activities offered to our guests at the castle and we know from experience that nobody ever gets bored here! The easiest thing to at the castle is relax is (rest and recuperation).Walk in the castle gardens, woods and parks. Cross country running, walking, jogging. Read from our extensive library. Play card and board games. Casino games on blackjack, crap, roulette tables! Play table tennis, badminton, volleyball, croquet, cricket, tennis, Swim in the small outdoor swimming-pool ( during the summer ! ) bike riding (for a small daily charge). Play “Pétanque” (the traditional French boule game). Astronomy / star gazing with our pro telescope ( due to the proximity to the coast, clear countryside setting and lack of pollution this makes the clear night sky fascinatingly beautiful and shooting stars a regular occurrence). Hot air ballooning taking off directly from the castle grounds ! treasure hunting ! with our own pro metal detectors in the castle grounds! Pamper yourself with a visit from a qualified hairdresser or manicure artist. Take painting lessons. Take part in a cooking class lesson at the castle. Take a wine tasting course. Take a French language immersion course. The list goes on and on and if you have any ideas or special needs please do not hesitate to ask.
4. Activities Near the Castle :
Despite there being so many things to do at the castle we also highly recommend that you visit the local region to make the most of your stay. All of the following activities are within a short drive of the castle and we would be happy to supply you with full details so that you can participate in any of them. The cost for these local activities is really reasonable and nothing compared to the expense of similar activities in say Paris.
Visit the incredible local coastline and countryside. Visit the charming local villages and enjoy lunch in country restaurants and hotels. Visit weekly local produce and farm markets Visit local antique fairs, auctions and antique shops. Take a private plane sight seeing flight ( only 45 euros per person ). Hire a vintage sailing boat and crew to sail the local coast for the day. Take a sailing course. Play golf at one of 12 local golf courses as a VIP member for the day. Visit the local castles, monuments and museums. Fish the local rivers or the sea. Visit the ritzy chic coastal towns of Deauville and Honfleur for the polo, horseracing, casinos and nightlife etc. Visist all the WW2 Normandy landing beaches and memorial sites.Rent horses to ride in the local countryside. Shop till you drop in the big provincial town of Rouen. Discover the Regional Nature Park of Bretonne Visit local farm shops and country animal centers. Visit local cider, calvados and Benedictine producers. The list goes on and on. ....
5. How To reach The Castle :
By Road: very easy via the Autoroutes A13 ( from Paris ) and A29 ( Northern France ). Central Paris to the castle by car takes 90 minutes. By Air : close via local Beauvais ( low cost Ryan Air flights ) , Rouen, Le Havre and Dieppe, Paris international airports and two local private airfields that can accept small private planes .You can even arrive via helicopter and land directly on the castle back lawn ! By Train : is very easy too : Eurostar from London to Lille or Paris with a connection. The castle is only 80 minutes from Paris via Paris Gare St Lazare and we can arrange to collect you at our local train station which is only 12 minutes from the castle. By Cross Channel Ferry from the U.K.: via the close channel ports of Calais ( 90 mins ), Dieppe (35 mins ) and Le Havre (35 mins ) - n.b. we can supply very detailed info on the exact routes to take to reach the castle - please ask.
6. What’s Included in Your Rental :
Exclusive occupancy of the castle for you and your group - up to 20 guests
can sleep at the castle and there are plenty of local hotels and B & B for larger groups. A full time chef and housekeeper are present throughout your entire stay and included in the rental charge. Long term or short term stays are available as are possible discounted rates for last minute bookings. All group rates include the cost of all breakfasts and all gourmet diners ( a sample menu of an evening diner can be sent upon request), linens, utilities, grounds maintenance, and room cleaning and all the help /.istance you may need from your hosts. We are usually quite flexible on arrival and departure dates and times. Weekly occupancies generally tend to start on Saturday afternoons and continue through to the following Saturday with a final departure around 10.30am.
7. Rental Cost :
To receive a fixed proposal for the total cost to rent our castle for your group or project we will need to know the number of people in your group, the dates which you wish to rent the castle for and any extras / special requirements that you may require. Our rates are extremely competitive as you will discover.
8. Deposit :
The advanced refundable breakages security deposit has to be paid in advance at the time of the confirmed booking. This deposit will be refunded 30 days after departure. Please note that the deposit is not negotiable and cannot be used towards the actual rental cost or any extra subsequent charges.
9. Payment Terms :
The full advanced rental payment has to be paid no less than 90 days before the actual date of arrival. All other extra charges incurred during your stay ie: lunch, teas, coffees, drinks, appetizers, etc. or any other special requests has to be paid at the time of your departure in Euro currency only. Receipts are provided for all payments.
