Los Cristianos, Tenerife

Los Cristianos began as a small fishing village many years ago. It has evolved into a popular all year round holiday destination with wonderful weather. The harbour area is always buzzing and here you will find many excellent fish restaurants serving fresh products. A passenger and car ferry sails from here to the island of La Gomera as does numerous sea excursions eg. pirate ship experience, glass bottom boats from which to view the sea life and dolphin and whale spotting trips. One of the main pick up points for the free buses for the excursions is only 500mts from the complex. You can walk along the picturesque esplanade which runs to Playa de las Americas and beyond. Here you will find an aqua park for a great day out.The airport is only a 20 mins taxi ride and taxis are plentiful. There are many forms of entertainment to be found in the bars and restaurants. You can either visit mount Teide(once a live volcano)with a bus excursion or alternatively hire a car. If you hire a car a trip to Masca is a must for spectacular scenery. A busy local market is held every sunday morning.
