Close to the sea and commercial centre. Palazzo Vivaldi was built in 2003 as a retirement / pre-retirement complex and as such would not be suitable for children. Away from the tourist area it is ideal for a peaceful, relaxing holiday.

In the prestigious Las Salinas area of Roquetas de Mar. 7 mins. flat stroll to beach, 20 mins. to harbour. Complex includes all year pool, CCTV, 24hr manned reception, own car park space, café/bar, lounge, sauna and gym. Modern shopping mall with cinema, theatre, bullring, and sports stadium. Sea edge promenade to Roquetas de Mar Urbanisation.

Roquetas del Mar

Unlike the usual Spanish holiday sunspots, Roquetas de Mar is relatively quiet. Life here tends to be at a more gentle pace. With over 3,000 hours of sunshine and the lowest rainfall in Europe, the temperature is invariably warm.
Roquetas de Mar is made up of three areas – the town, the harbour area and the Urbanisation (the resort). The castle is open daily and admission is free. At the port, fishing and pleasure craft sit side by side with cafes, restaurants and bars (with free Tapas). Just past the port is the old town where a large market is held on three out of four weeks per month, spread amongst the many shops.
The new shopping area of Gran Plazza is one of the biggest in Andalucia and is on the edge of the new, prestigious development of Las Salinas. Local taxis are cheap but for the more adventurous, the bus service is excellent. They run to the Capital City of Almeria every 20 minutes, where you can visit the 11th century Alcazaba, a relic from when the Moors ruled the area. Look out for the INDALO man symbol, the good luck charm of the area.
