Calis beach - Fethiye

Calis beach with sand, sea and lovely promenade, lined by restaurants, bars and shops to suit every taste (and pocket!)There is also a water taxi that takes you along the edge of the conservation area and across to Fethiye.A year round working town with fishing port and marina, Fethiye supports a considerable population and offers a good mix of tourist amenities and authentic Turkish atmosphere.Historians and shoppers both will delight in the labyrinth of the narrow, atractive streets,filled with bazaar style shops,restaurants and dotted with craved stone sarcophagi. The cliffs above are temple facades, hewn from the living rock: these are tombs of Lycians who lived here in the 4th century BC. Picturesque Olu Deniz beach is 9kms away, an easy trip on the local dolmus.
