Who can use holiday Notice Board

Anyone who owns a holiday self-catering vlla, apartment, gite, cottage or other accommodation or offers a holiday related service or is looking for accommodation.  The site is intended to be family friendly and you should not make postings which are unsuitable for children.
You may include information on accomodation, transport, sports, attractions, festivals, outdoor events and other activities.  Links to other web sites are chargeable or against a reciprocal link. No links to estate agency or letting agencies unless agreed in advance

Use the forum section to post enquiries for information about an area you intend to visit eg
passtimes available,  weather to expect at a certain time of year.  Local customs, festivals, public  services, best way to travel to etc. The forum can also be used to keep in touch with holiday friends and general holiday chat. Entries which appear to have been added simply to promote a website will be deleted.

Advertisements for products which are not to do with holidays or are not specific to the area or other off topic notices will not be allowed as a free notice
If someone places an advert for a well known soft drink which is available worldwide this would be chargeable whereas information about a small local brewer who offered guided tours around the brewery would be most likely OK.
In any event our decision is final.

How long will a notice remain on Holiday Noticeboard.

Usually about six months but we expect to work on  a maximun of about 100 for each area at any one time.
If there are too many we will delete the oldest.  Boards which become particularly busy may be split into smaller areas.

Can I include the url of my website on Holiday Noticeboard?

Free notices cannot include a URL unlesss you link back to us.
For a small fee you can take one of our enhanced notices. These can include a photo and also you can add a commercial url or an individual homepage.  Notices which advertise other websites rather than a property or services may not be allowed.  Other webmasters should email us regarding reciprocal or chargeable links.   There is no charge for links to your own holiday property advertising on this site.

Can I include my email on Holiday Noticeboard?

Yes you must include your email.  We will not sell details of your email to spam lists and will normally not display it on the page People contact you by completing a form.  

Please note that when you book your holiday accommodation your contract is with the advertiser or owner of the property not with Holiday Noticeboard or its owners who supply only an  advertising service.

What is the cost of the service?

This is a free for basic notices.  We will charge for additional services which maybe introduced from time to time.

These include. 

a   links to other  websites. Notices with chargeable links will persist for a minimum period.

b  Notices which are booked for a specific period eg per year.

c. Notices which include pictures or special formatting.

d. Complete Pages about your property or service.

e. Site Hosting

We cannot guarantee to display adverts and other material at all times. Whilst reasonable efforts will be made to ensure that the website, including content, is made available for viewing in the public domain at all times, the owners may from time to time, for any reason and without prior notice, refuse to make content available.

What if I enter the details incorrectly on Holiday Noticeboard?

 There is no facility for you to delete yourself with standard entries.  The pages will be examined by us on a Daily Basis.  If you get  it wrong simply add another notice and we will remove the duplicate.
E mail us if you are uncertain. Enhanced entries can be edited, follow on screen instructions.

How long does it take before the notice appears on Holiday Noticeboard?

Usually within 24hrs.

How can I search Holiday Noticeboard for a subset of the notices?

If you are looking for a particular activity which may be in an area use the search word facility to help classify the notices.  For instance if there are 50 notices which include 3 about golf available in the area and you type golf in the word search then only the three with golf will display.If one of these includes the term golf club and you type golf club in then only this one will be displayed.  There is no need to use inverted commas when you type words in.  To view all notices again submit the word search with the box empty.

Does holiday Notice Board guarantee the quality of the services offered on the board?

No we are not in a position to do this.  Buyers beware!
Any contract you enter into is directly with the advertiser.
If you have cause for complaint however please let us know we may remove it.
